Moving a conversation is helpful if you want to share or pass a conversation to another team. You can move a conversation:
- From your personal inbox to a team inbox. This option is useful when you received an email in your personal inbox that you would like to share with one of your teams.
- From one team inbox to another team inbox. This option is useful when you want to pass a conversation to another team that is better positioned to follow up on that conversation.
Note that a conversation can be added to multiple team inboxes at the same time (e.g., both to the firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com team inboxes). Both teams are working on the same conversation and will see each others updates.
How do I move a conversation to a team inbox?
You can move a conversation to a team inbox as follows:
- Click the Move to team inbox button in Yablo.
- Select one (or more) of your team inboxes.
- Click Done to confirm.
What is the difference with forwarding an email?
When you move a conversation to a team inbox, you are handing off that complete conversation to another team including the complete history of that conversation (including past messages and attachments, internal conversations, tags, ...). When you forward an email, you typically only share a part of the original conversation.
Furthermore, you can still follow up on the progress of that conversation even though you might no longer be included in the recipients of future replies.
