Overview
Unlike a traditional email client where an inbox represents a single mailbox for managing emails, Yablo's inbox functions differently. In Yablo, an inbox serves as a central hub for organizing and managing conversations, rather than just representing a single mailbox.
In Yablo, you have the flexibility to connect multiple communication channels, including email, live chat, and SMS, to a single inbox. This means that all your conversations from different channels can be conveniently managed in one place, allowing you to streamline your communication workflow and stay organized. Whether you're managing emails, live chats, or SMS messages, Yablo's inbox offers a unified approach to managing conversations across multiple channels in a seamless and efficient manner.
Personal vs Team inboxes
In Yablo, there are two types of inboxes: personal inboxes and team inboxes. Personal inboxes are private spaces that are not accessible by default to your teammates, and are listed as "My Inbox" in the sidebar. You can connect your personal mailbox as a channel to your personal inbox, allowing you to manage your personal conversations in one place.
On the other hand, team inboxes are shared inboxes that you can collaborate on with members of your team. All selected members gain access to a team inbox and can work together on conversations within that inbox. Typically, you would connect shared communication channels, such as shared mailboxes, SMS channels, or live chat, to a team inbox.
With personal inboxes, you have your own private space in Yablo for managing your individual conversations, while team inboxes enable seamless collaboration and coordination among team members for managing shared conversations in a centralized manner.
Manage Inbox Settings
To change the settings of an inbox, navigate to your Inbox in Yablo and select "Manage Inbox" from the inbox menu at the top of the screen.
Delegates
Although personal inboxes in Yablo are private by default, you have the option to grant access to other team members as delegates. Delegates are individuals whom you authorize to manage your inbox, such as an assistant or a partner. When you assign someone as a delegate, they will have the same permissions in the inbox as you have. This allows you to share access and delegate inbox management responsibilities to others.
